Self-promotional illustrations at Orientationlab, 2010

To celebrate the Persian New Year, nowruz, on the 21st of March, I created some life-sized illustrations at OrientationLab. Nowruz has been celebrated in Iran for more than 3000 years. When you think of it, it makes a lot of sense to celebrate new years day on the first day of spring, when everything comes back to life.

Recognize the two figures? The top one is a self-portrait, the bottom one is my colleague Reza Abedini. In the coming months, we will also produce the banners in silkscreen. Looking forward to playing around with colors and rasters!
